Erosion Control & Wildlife Plantings for Forestry Operations
Timber management creates openings in the form of roads, stream crossings, log decks, skid trails, and firebreaks. Establishing vegetative cover on these areas reduces soil erosion and prevents offsite sediment. The purpose of this publication is to provide forest land managers with a variety of seeding mixtures that will stabilize sites and provide benefits to many species of wildlife.
