Spotfin Chub (Hybopsis monacha)

The spotfin chub measures about 3.4 inches (8.5 cm). It is light olive on the back and pales to silver below. There is a distinct lateral line from which gold and green stripes radiate. During mating, males turn a metallic blue above this line.
